These boots are made for walking!

Although Middlesbrough is an industrial town, it is situated near some of the most beautiful scenery in England. Every weekend I enjoy rambling with a group of friends in the lovely hills or along our spectacular, rugged coastline. This year [2006] the weather has been superb, and even now, in November we are able to appreciate the amazing hues of autumn in bright sunshine- even if our boots are stuck in the mud underfoot!

As well as exploring our own locality, we also love to visit other areas of natural beauty such as the Lake district and the Yorkshire Dales ,while the more adventurous venture abroad to try mountain walking all over the world. We love to visit France, of course, and will be returning to the Pyrenees in August to walk and practise our French language skills.
